Ultra Japan 2025 [REVIEW]

Ultra Japan marked its 10th Anniversary with two explosive days at Odaiba, uniting global superstars, underground legends and local talent across the Main Stage, Resistance and Ultra Park

Day 1

The festival kicked off under blazing sun with Martin Garrix opening the Main Stage with Carry You as his intro, while DJ SNAKE went heavier with trap and hip-hop drops, closing with Let Me Love You. Amelie Lens tore through Resistance with pounding techno, matched by Ken Ishii’s hometown-flavored set. Over at Ultra Park, crews like Trekkie Trax kept things fresh with eclectic, bass-driven sounds that gave fans a break from the big-room chaos.

Day 2

Day two brought melodies and nostalgia. Hardwell ended the night with his latest release with Sub Zero Project ft. Lil Jon, Brace For Impact, while SLANDER delivered soaring moments before Calvin Harris closed with a fireworks-laced sing-along finale.

Resistance stayed relentless with ARGY and ARTBAT, driving hypnotic grooves deep into the night.

Ultra Park shined as a hub for local DJs like DJ Yu-Ki and TJO, drawing a loyal crowd that valued variety over spectacle.

From towering LEDs and lasers across Tokyo Bay to Resistance’s cavern-like visuals and Ultra Park’s more intimate vibe, production was top-notch. Sound was mostly sharp, though occasional glitches and Main Stage crowd bottlenecks tested patience.

Ultra Japan 2025 balanced mainstream spectacle with underground grit and local flavor, proving why it remains Asia’s flagship EDM festival. A fitting 10th anniversary of Ultra Japan not flawless, but unforgettable.
